CFCS Verified Partner Program

CFCS works with community partners to help their clients get their taxes done. If you work with clients who are eligible for our CVITP tax program, but would benefit from having someone they already know and trust help them through the process, then you and or your organization might be a good fit for our Verified Partner Program. Through this, we are able to help clients get their taxes done when otherwise they may not be able to access our services on their own.

WHAT IS IT?

As a verified CFCS Verified Partner, you can help your client to fill out our Verified Partner Drop Off form, confirm and vouch for their identity, assist them with collecting any information they may be needing, and depending on the situation, communicate with CFCS and the tax preparers on their behalf regarding the tax situation of the client.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

Examples of partner organizations include hospitals, shelters, local non-profits, correctional facilities, and resource centres. Within these organizations, the people who are verified with us are often social workers, and direct-to-client service delivery staff - basically those folks who work in close contact with the clients who could benefit from our tax preparation services. We require our Verified Partners to be staff and not volunteers of the partner organization.

WHEN IS THIS PROGRAM BEING OFFERED?

Generally we will be accepting drop offs through this program year round, with the exception being during any closures of CRA services. Once you are a verified partner in our database, you will be informed of any changes to the process, timelines, and services.

HOW DO I BECOME A VERIFIED PARTNER?

Simply fill out the form below to request verification for this program with CFCS. We will follow up with you as quickly as we can with any questions we have, and if approved, a statement for you to sign as well as training on how to fill out the forms correctly and get them to us.
